  • Universal Network Video Recorder
  • Supports MJPEG, MPEG2/4 and H.264 IP-based video servers & cameras
  • Easily expands existing Visimetrics systems over IP
  • Comprehensive integration via SDK

OCTAR Net is a universal NVR capable of operating with any IP-cameras or network video server. OCTAR Net provides all the powerful and easy-to-use features of the OCTAR system for networked video recording.

Each base unit records up to 16 cameras from any supported IP-based encoding device located anywhere on the network. Several cameras may be linked through a single network camera server; others may have a dedicated server for higher frame rates, while some cameras may have a built-in network interface (IP cameras). OCTAR Net can be set up to record video from any of these.

The most common application of OCTAR Net and associated camera servers is to provide expansion of existing CCTV systems to include a networked video component. This avoids additional and expensive cable installations by using existing network cabling and infrastructure which are now common in office buildings and industrial sites. All Visimetrics recording systems (both NVRs and DVRs) are controlled and replayed through a single user interface from one or multiple points on the local or wide area network.
